Sahara Las Vegas already offers free valet and self parking. Now, the historic Strip hotel casino has some exclusive summer deals for Las Vegas residents.
A locals hotel offers no resort fees and all-inclusive rates starting at $64 per night. The offer can be booked now until 31 August for stays up to and including 1 September.
Las Vegas locals get free admission to the Sahara Pool and can get up to 20 percent off rental cars Monday through Thursday.
Local residents also get free entry to Sahara’s Monday Movie Nights, which take place poolside every week through September 7. Locals can also buy one, get one free ticket to select performances of the Sahara Summer Poolside Concert Series.
Other discounts for Las Vegas residents include 50 percent off steaks every Tuesday at Balla Italian Soul and 50 percent off all bottles of wine every Wednesday at Balla Italian Soul.
Locals get 25 percent off dining at all Sahara restaurants, excluding Maroon and Starbucks, and they get 30 percent off Magic Mike Live tickets.
Casino Collectibles Show
The world’s largest casino collectible opens its doors Thursday at South Point Casino.
The three-day event is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday, when admission is $10, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, when admission is $5 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, when admission is free.
The event is the Casino Collectibles Association and is held in South Point’s Exhibit Hall D.
Collectibles of all kinds will be on display in the aisles of the show with chips of all denominations from various casinos, playing tokens, dice, playing cards, playing cards, matchbooks, ashtrays, menus, tableware, swizzle sticks, casino pictures, postcards, signs, tablecloths – just about anything a casino can put its name on.
In addition to the collectibles exhibits, four free educational seminars will be conducted throughout the show in the Joshua Room, across the hall from the exhibit hall. They include:
-“The Legacy of Collecting and the Significance of the Neon Museum Sign Collection,” with Aaron Berger, executive director and CEO of The Neon Museum, who will discuss the significance of the museum’s sign collection to the history of Las Vegas, Thursday at
-“Signs of Change for Tomorrow’s Casino Industry,” with Vital Vegas founder Scott Roeben discussing how the casino industry is changing and why, Thursday at 15.00
-“The ChipGuide: World’s Largest Catalog of Casino Chips and Collectibles,” with Charles Kaplan, president of the Casino Collectibles Association’s Museum of Gaming History and administrator of ChipGuide, the world’s largest catalog of casino collectibles with 324,000 items from 32,000 casinos cataloged on Friday, and how to use the catalog on Friday.
-“How the Red-Light District was a Sign of the Times in Old Las Vegas,” with Jami Rodman, author of “The Las Vegas Madam” and owner of Las Vegas Guided Tours, a boutique company known for immersive, research-driven tours that bring to life the history of Block 16 – Las Vegas Red-Light District, Friday at 3 p.m.
