What’s better than a girl group? THREE of them come together for a collaboration that is absolutely iconic, but definitely not a mistake!
LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT and KATSEYE (who are all in HYBE) have surprised fans with a new joint single called ‘Iconic By Mistake’, which is both a thank you and a middle finger to their online trolls. The 14-strong supergroup responds to online criticism and digital harassment they face, while addressing the fact that they have the last laugh here – haters wasting their time trolling the girls are actually raising their profile.

The song is directed by Cody Critcheloe and is accompanied by a post-apocalyptic music video where each group occupies their own universe. The dystopian visual is a defiant offering where the girls subtly address particular criticisms they’ve received, including KATSEYE’s Daniela being ridiculed online for her exuberant dance moves and facial expressions.
This is an epic image that is a perfect response to these online trolls. The overall message is clear: keep hating, because you’re only making these girl groups more successful, powerful, and damn iconic.
LE SSERAFIM x ILLIT x KATSEYE – “Iconic By Mistake”
2026 is a big year for all three girl groups. ILLIT are making their mark with shows in Japan, while both LE SSERAFIM and KATSEYE embark on world tours, including stops in the UK. LE SSERAFIM play London’s The O2 on October 16, with KATSEYE headlining the same venue on September 3-4 and Manchester’s Co-op Arena on September 6.
