Adam Lambert announced that he will release his sixth album, ADAMon July 10 via its own label, distributed via The Orchard!
The self-titled album will feature 12 new songs, and fans just got a taste of one of them today with the song “EAT U ALIVE.” The song gives listeners a taste of the dark industrial sound that shapes much of the record, drawing inspiration from 90s alternative music and electronica.
“‘EAT U ALIVE’ is the perfect primer for my next musical chapter,” says Adam. “I wanted to create songs that fit into a world reminiscent of the music that made a formative impact on me in the ’90s and early ’00s. Nine Inch Nails, Björk, Prince, Muse, Goldfrapp, Daft Punk, George Michael, Massive Attack and Crystal Method are just a few that inspired the sound. The album explores both the light and shade of a positive experience and a negative experience. I hope these songs connect with anyone who has gone through the confusing but necessary process of self-acceptance. There was a real liberation in admitting my own weaknesses and strengths to someone who always thought of himself as a perfectionist and idealist.
