Musician and actor Matt Cardle joins the cast Kinky boots when it arrives at the London Coliseum this spring.
The artist, who released a new song called ‘Fading Lights’ this week, will take on the role of Charlie Price, alongside Strictly Come Dancing icon Johannes Radebe who will reprise the role of Lola, which he played on tour. Matt has made a name for himself in the theater world over the years, with roles in Memphis, Jesus Christ Superstar, and &Juliet UK tour.
Speaking about taking on this role, Matt said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the cast of Kinky boots on London’s biggest stage. Theater has been a big part of my career so far, and to lead a cast alongside Johannes Radebe at the London Coliseum is a great honour. Kinky boots is a show I’ve loved for years so to have the opportunity to step into the role of Charlie Price is a dream come true. Bringing this iconic role to life in the West End is an incredible privilege, and I can’t wait to share this production with audiences.”
West End sensation Tosh Wanogho-Maud, whose credits include Titanic, Ain’t Too Proud, Dreamgirls, and that Palladium Pantoalso joins the cast as Alternate Lola. He is currently starring as Lola in the European leg of the touring production and will be playing the role of Lola in all Monday performances from 6 April 2026.
