Live Aid Musical One day has announced a final extension in addition to its West End closing date.
The production, which is currently playing at Shaftesbury Theater, will be closed on February 7, 2026, before a scheduled renovation period in the theater.
Written by John O’Farrell and directed by Luke Sheppard, One day Tells the story of the iconic live help concerts that happened at the same time in London and Philadelphia in 1985. Led by Bob Geldof, the concerts were a huge moment in history, with over 70 artists who performed for free and collected $ 127 million for famine.
Jukebox Musical contains the songs for Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Who, U2, Queen, police, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Status Quo, Paul Weller, Boomtown Rats, Bryan Adams, Diana Ross, Ultravox and more.
Selecting 40 years since the iconic concerts are donated 10% from the sale of all theater tickets directly to Band Aid Charitable Trust. So far, more than 1.2 million pounds have been collected by the musical.
One day Got his premiere at The Old Vic 2024 and was nominated for an Olivier Award. It later went to Toronto, before opening at Shaftesbury Theater in May 2025.
