Sinner was tested by a revival Felix Auger-Aliassime, who pushed him harder than anyone else for two weeks, but the world no. 1’s defensive barley and the clarity of the big point saw him through in four sets.
Over the net, Alcaraz produced a leading performance to dismiss Novak Djokovic in straight sets and expand its perfect driving in New York without releasing a set.
The result sets up the blockbuster final that all predicted and an re -match of their Wimbledon classic earlier this summer, with both form and history on the line.

Jannik Sinner Def. Felix Auger-Aliassime, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4

Jannik Sinner secured his 300th career victory and a place in his second US Open final with a hard-fighted 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory over Felix Auger-A-ALIASSIME on Friday night.
The world no. 1 navigated in a shit three hours, 19-minute battle at Arthur Ashe Stadium, which saved nine out of 10 break points against a revival aliassim.
I did not give Felix much of a chance on his way into the match, but he completely exceeded my expectations.
The first set was all sinners, but from there Auger-Aliassime came right into it, and his second set of blitz coincided with sinners who fought with an abdominal problem, which required treatment with a medical timeout outside the court after Felix was equalized.
After the resumption, his server did not look too smart, but he held and began to wrestle the control with a crucial break for 4-2 before caught the set.
The fourth set saw the Auger-A-Aliassime network-rushing tactics give five break points over Sinner’s first two service games, but the top seed’s defense held.
I think if Felix broke 2-1, 30-40, then this five sets goes, where everything can happen, but the sinner was again for solid
Felix and I played the last tournament, and he is a completely different player. He earned much better and met every shot much better. So it was a very tough match today, but I’m obviously very, very happy. Sinner at Auger-Aliassim’s resuscitation.

Carlos Alcaraz Def. Novak Djokovic, 6-4, 7-6 (4), 6-2

Carlos Alcaraz stormed into his second US Open final with a commanding 6-4, 7-6 (4), 6-2 victory over Novak Djokovic, avenging losses at the Australian Open and Paris Olympics.
The 22-year-old Spaniard will not yet release a set of New York and overpowered the 24 o’clock in his two-hour, 25-minute collision.
Despite his record and what we know Novak can, based on what I had seen in New York, I did not give him much chance here. He has seen tired physically, and despite his stellar H2H record with Carlos, he has not met the Spaniard’s very improved serving this season.
Alcaraz set the tone early and broke Djokovic in the opening game with a blowing crosscourt advance. The rapid start meant that Novak never really sat down, and his backhand looked tentative for the most part, and he couldn’t turn off that wing with much conviction.
The second set became interesting with Alcaraz who clapped back from 0-3 down after a little Nole magic to break, but after leveling with a girl advance winner, Tiebreak saw him dominate with inner-out-hand, close with a 90 mph backhand down the line.
Djokovic, hindered by shoulder issues that required physio treatment, faded in the third, double error to gift a break at 1-2 and from there it was over.
I thought Novak was competitive, with some large few and individual points, but Alcaraz was not pressed on serve, and it always looked like he had control from the baseline and he is simply the better player at this time in their respective careers.
I am happy with my level of tennis, but that is just the physicality of it. As I said after the quarter finals, the press conference when I talked to you, I said that I will do my best to get my body in shape to maintain that level and the rhythm for as many hours as needed. But that wasn’t enough. It is something I, unfortunately at this time in my career, cannot control. It comes with time and with age. I still like the competitive tension. Today I received fantastic support again at the court from the audience. Very grateful for that. I liked myself thoroughly. Yes, it is one of the biggest reasons why I continue. The love that I have received around the world has been fantastic in recent years. It will be very difficult for me in the future to overcome the sinner’s obstacles, Alcaraz, in the best of five at the Grand Slams. I think I have a better chance in Best of Three, but best out of five, it’s tough. I do not give up Grand Slams in that regard, after saying it. I will continue to fight and try to get to the final and fight for another trophy at least. But it will be a very difficult task. Djokovic on where he is.
