Westgate Superbook will debut two new football handicap competitions this season, Supercontest Survivor and Supercontest College.
Survivor is a $ 5,000 entry, winner-take-all elimination competition where participants must choose a winning team, without points spreads, every week in the 18-week NFL regular season. Teams can only be used once.
The superbook will continue to offer Supercontest Gold, its $ 5,000 input, winner-take-all competition where participants make five weekly choices against the spread during the NFL season.
“We have talked about making survivors in recent years,” said Westgate Vice President of Ras and Sport John Murray. “We wanted to do something a little different, and in accordance with that theme for Supercontest Gold, we thought it would be a cool idea to make a $ 5,000 survivor also for the more advanced players.”
Competitors can have up to 10 items each in Survivor, and 100 percent of the registration fees in all Supercontests will be repaid to the players.
College is a competition of $ 500 where participants make seven weekly choices against the spread (no total) in 14 weeks of College football season. The competition will start during the last week of August and end during the last week in November, and competitors can have up to 10 items each.
“There have been many people asking us for several years to make some kind of college competition, and here it is,” Murray said. “We just try to give people some new things to be happy about football.
“It is the first big money the College competition in Nevada, as far as I know, that people can send choices on their mobile devices, in the same way they can for supercont test.”
Official rules for each competition will be completed at a later date, and registration for all Supercontests opens July 1.
Supercontest back to $ 1,500
Supercontest, which sets the standard as the world’s most prestigious NFL handicap competition, will increase Ante next season from $ 1,000 by mail to $ 1,500 by mail, its previous price point before it was lowered to $ 1,000 in recent years.
The format for making five weekly selection ATS during the NFL season will remain the same, and Supercontest will once again contain 11 season competitions: two nine weeks, three six weeks and six three weeks.
“We will take the purchase back to the traditional $ 1,500 in an attempt to get the top of the Supercontest payments a little higher,” Murray said. “We want to see the winner and the best people in supercontest win a little more money this year, so that is why we increase the registration fee a bit and we will reduce the price of the season a bit.”
Westgate has canceled the Supercontest start, a $ 500-entry competition that covered the last nine weeks of the NFL season.
Supercontest Weekend will take place August 15 and 16, with an event August 15 at Westgate where people can win free posts in Supercontest and Supercontest College and a golf tournament August 16 at Las Vegas Country Club.
Westgate also offers $ 200 input season competitions for NFL, NBA and MLB.
