Prime Video’s “The Summer in Turny Pretty” has returned, and it takes the power world by storm. The upcoming age drama made a resounding splash with its season 3 premiere on July 16 and reached 25 million global viewers on just the first seven days, according to figures shared by Amazon.
The new season, which marks the final part of Jenny Han’s book-to-screen trilogy, exceeded expectations with a 40% jump in viewers compared to Season 2’s debut. Since the first season, the series has effectively tripled its audience over the same seven-day window-a rare performance in today’s fragmented streaming landscape.
Amazon says “summer I became beautiful” is currently the most watching season among women aged 18 to 34, and the fifth most watched season over their platform. It also claimed the top spot globally on Prime Video during its debt development, with prominent achievements in important international markets including the UK, Germany and Brazil.

While Amazon has not made it clear how it quantifies the “viewers”-a metric that often lacks the transparency of traditional third-party data like Nielsen, streamer is clearly placed the show as a breakout success.
The season’s delayed return, due to the 2023 authors and actors strikes, did a little to dampen enthusiasm. Instead, it seems to have reinforced expectation. “Seeing such figures after a two -year absence is what really blown us away,” Vernon Sanders, head of global TV at Amazon MGM Studios told Deadline. “It’s the right show at the right time and is properly run by an incredible team.”
“I think it really is Jenny and this incredible role and the incredible team they have gathered. If you think about it, this was a book series that was published for a fair time ago, and so I think there have been a number of people who have come into this over the years. What Jenny has been able to do, and hopefully we have been able to help build this society that has been incredibly incredible.
Creator and Co-Showrunner Jenny he echoed that sentiment: “Seeing how” The Summer in Turned Pretty “has resonated with Millions-How the Story Has Sparked So many Fan Conversations, Sate The Books Back On The Bestseller Lists, And Inspired So Media Viewers’ Reactions’ Reactions’ Reactions’ Reactions’ Reactions A. Have Hoped for and More, “She Said, Adding That The Show’s Resonance, From Bestseller Book Resurgences to Fervent Fan Reactions, emphasizes the emotional reach of history.
“As a creator and co-showrunner, I am extremely proud of what we did. I am grateful that we had to do all three seasons, one for each book and grateful that the audience has so passionately embraced the story I wanted to tell you.”
