South Point Casino Large Structure | Casinos and games

When Ryan Growney is asked about a mysterious structure built on property held by South Point owner Michael Gaughan, he tells people that it is a hangar so that Gaughan’s private plan can be a little closer to him.

It’s not.

The structure similar to an aircraft Hangar is actually a temporary sound stage and studio for a TV production company that will tape a TV competition show in June.

Growney would not reveal the name of the production company or the show that will be broadcast, but added that it is not “American Ninja Warrior”, the popular NBC franchise that has timed athletes that cross a difficult obstacle course that has been broadcast 235 episodes during 16 seasons.

Growney, South Point’s long -standing manager, said he believes that the producers who are based on land near the resort were enough for “Ninja Warrior” staff before contacting South Point about the country’s temporary use.

Growney said that when the tape is completed, the plant would be demolished. He also said that the production company does not publish its presence and the audience will not be invited to the bands they are with “Ninja Warrior.”

“For us it is a rental of land use and we also provide room for the producers,” said Growney. “I like to joke with people that it’s a hangar for Michael’s plan.”

It is unclear from Clark County registers which company is authorized to build on the site. A spokesman for Clark County could not be immediately reached for comments.

This is a developing story. Come back for updates.
