Sabrina carpenter Wastes no time riding on the wave of her breakout success. Just over a year after chart topping Short n ‘cutePop Sensation has announced its next full -length project, Man’s best friendPlanned to arrive on August 29 via Island Records.
The announcement, which was made Wednesday (June 11), sent fans to a frenzy when carpenters revealed the bold cover art on Instagram: a provocative picture of her in black stilettos, held by the hair by an invisible man, who echoes the album’s themes for power, satire and naughty resistance. “I can’t wait for it to be your X,” she formed the post and immediately led buzz.

The upcoming album will contain 12 tracks, starting with its already viral leading single “Manchild”which fell on June 5 and has dominated the American Spotify diagrams since then – currently holding No. 1 for a fifth day in a row with over 1,801 million currents.
Country-pop hybrid, co-written with Jack Antonoff and Amy Allen, is a windy witty criticism of fragile masculinity, anchored by Carpenter’s signature mixture of charm and bite. “Manchild, why will you always go to me?/ FK My life, don’t you leave an innocent woman?” She sings, with a melody that is as sharp as it is contagious.
The announcement comes warmly on the heel of Carpenter’s electrifying Primavera sound performance in Barcelona, where “Manchild” debuted just days after the release. “It sounds like the song embodiment of a loving eye roll,” Carpent joked at that time and called it the perfect summer sound track. “It feels like an endless road trip in the summer … so you can stick your head out through the car window and scream it all summer!”
If Short n ‘cute was Snicker’s coronation, Man’s best friend Forms to be her victory laps. Her former LP got her first No. 1 on Billboard 200 and produced two hot 100 Top 10-hits “Espresso” and “Taste”-together with her first map-top, “Please please,” which later got a deluxe edition duet with none other than Dolly Parton in February 2025.
Sabrina Carpenter is also set to a whirlwind summer with large performances, including two sold out nights in London’s Hyde Park (5-6 July), a Lollapalooza place on August 3 and Back-to-back weekends at the Austin City borders in October. A fall bone of her Short n ‘cute Tour will bring her back to Madison Square Garden for a three-night run and see her take over the Los Angeles Krypto.com arena for another trio of shows.
For those counted, Man’s best friend Will Be Carpenter’s seventh studio album-a remarkable performance for the 25-year-old star, whose transition from Disney Darling to Pop Provocateur is not only complete, but now no doubt iconic. With “Manchild” that dominates the lists and expectation that the album grows with the day, Sabrina Carpenter proves that her rise is not temporary; It is the beginning of a new pop -era that she leads with full force.
