PinkPantheress was named BRITs Producer of the Year

Multi-platinum artist, songwriter and producer PinkPantheress has been named the recipient of Producer of the Year at the BRIT Awards 2026.

The award is decided by a select panel of expert judges from the music production sector and has previously been awarded to a roll call of acclaimed UK producers including Paul Epworth, Calvin Harris, Fred again… and last year’s winner, AG Cook.

Breakthrough artist PinkPantheress is the worthy recipient of this year’s award, breaking two BRITs records in the process. Not only is she the youngest ever recipient of this prestigious award, in recognition of excellence in her work in music production and the important contribution it has made over the year, but she is also the first woman to be awarded the honour. While she will take home Producer of the Year at the BRITs, she is also nominated for two more awards: Artist of the Year and Dance Act.

PinkPantheress has made a huge impact on the music industry over the past year, with her latest mixtape Fancy That is nominated for the 2025 Mercury Prize. She’s also dominated the charts with singles like “Boy’s a Liar,” “Illegal” and “Stateside” (including the recent Zara Larsson remix). PinkPantheress was named Producer of the Year at the Billboard Women in Music Awards and was honored in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.

Speaking about winning the BRIT Producer of the Year award, PinkPantheress said: “As the first woman to win this award, I’m grateful to be recognised. My music production is what I’m most proud of, and I’ve worked really hard at it, so I hope this inspires others to pursue their passion.”

Stacey Tang, Chair of the 2026 BRIT Awards Committee and Co-President of RCA Records at Sony Music UK added: “PinkPantheress is both an inventive and instinctive voice in British pop right now. As a producer, she is precise and playful, building bold, boundary-expanding sounds that travel beyond the UK, so quietly opening a new door in modern pop. The wave of female producers stepping forward to celebrate her at the BRITs is both timely and significant.

This year’s BRIT Awards will take place on Saturday 28 February at its new Manchester home, Co-op Live. Presented by Jack Whitehall, the evening will feature a star-studded line-up of performances from Olivia Dean, Harry Styles, Wolf Alice, Mark Ronson, ROSALÍA, Alex Warren and sombr. EJAE, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI, the singing voices of K-Pop Demon Hunters group HUNTR/X, will also record a special pre-filmed performance for invited fans.

Olivia Dean and Lola Young lead the pack for this year’s nominations, with five big nods each. Sam Fender is up for four awards, while the likes of Lily Allen, Calvin Harris, JADE, Wolf Alice, Ed Sheeran, Little Simz, PinkPantheress, RAYE, Skye Newman, Wet Leg have also received recognition.
