Nevada, Clark County continues downward game winning trends in April | Casinos and games

The game win continued its downward operation in April with most of the state’s 20 monitored markets flat against last year’s number, reported Nevada Gaming Control Board Wednesday.

The state’s winning profit fell 0.5 percent to $ 1.23 billion, while the strip win was 2.9 percent to $ 646.9 million with central Las Vegas victory with 1 percent to $ 83.6 million.

Only two markets had two-digit percent swings from a year ago-Wendover, up 10.9 percent and North Lake Tahoe, down 18.4 percent.

During the first ten months of the financial year 2024-25, the state gaming profit decreased by 1.1 percent to $ 13 billion, with Clark County decreased by $ 1.3 percent to $ 11.3 billion. Within the county, the strip profit is of 3.3 percent to $ 7.3 billion, but Las Vegas center increased by 2.7 percent to $ 794.2 million.

A Wall Street analyst said that the state’s monthly number was favored by the change in the Easter weekend from March 2024 to April this year, although the number of holidays remained unchanged.

Deutsche Bank analyst Carlo Santarelli also noted that Baccarat Hold was down from normal averages, but the track handle was up.

The amount for percentage tax taxes was also flat. Taxes collected from Friday amounted to $ 66 million, which gave 10-month total for the financial year to $ 911.2 million, a decrease of 0.07 percent from 2024.

The state collects up to 6.75 percent of gross gaming revenue in taxes for the state’s general fund.

This year, state coffins will also benefit from another $ 24.5 million in fines, which has been assessed by the Nevada Gaming Commission over the past three months in disciplinary measures taken against Resorts World Las Vegas, MGM Resorts International and Wynn Resorts Ltd.

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority is expected to report their visitor numbers in April later Wednesday.

Clark County Department of Aviation reported that they earned 4.7 million passengers at Harry Reid International Airport in April, a decrease of 3.4 percent from a year ago, with images in both domestic and international arrivals.

This is a developing story. Come back for updates.
