A local sports bettor who originally signed up for the William Hill Sportsbook mobile app at the Palms turned a $275 bet into a $513,257.52 payday after hitting a 10-leg parlay, the casino reported Friday.
The winning ticket spanned NBA and NHL matchups, mixed point spreads, totals and puck line picks.

From Tuesday’s NBA slate, the Charlotte Hornets (-8½) routed the Chicago Bulls 131-99; Boston Celtics topped Phoenix Suns 97-81 (under 207); The Oklahoma City Thunder downed the Toronto Raptors 116-107 (over 216); Dallas Mavericks defeated New Jersey Nets 123-114 (over 226½); Milwaukee Bucks topped Miami Heat 128-117 (over 228½); and the Minnesota Timberwolves slipped past the Portland Trail Blazers 124-121 (over 235).
On the NHL side, all four games were at the -1½ puck line Wednesday as the league returned from the Olympic break: the Washington Capitals topped the Philadelphia Flyers 3-1; Tampa Bay Lightning beat Toronto Maple Leafs 4-2; The Dallas Stars defeated the Seattle Kraken 4-1; and the Colorado Avalanche defeated the Utah Mammoth 4-2. All but the Avalanche were home games.
