The stars of the South Korea’s streaming scene gathered under a roof on July 18, which 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards Returned to Paradise City Hotel in Incheon for a night full of prestige, power and prominent performances. With Jun Hyun Moo and Girls’ Generation’s Yoona By repeating their roles as hosts for the fourth year in a row, the ceremony again illuminated the creative power of original series and variation shows for OTT platforms.
Topping of the awards this year with an almost sweep was Netflix’s When life gives you mandarinswho dressed the sought after Daesang (Grand Prize), best actress and best actress awards. IU, which portrayed the brilliant and complex Aesoon, received one of the highest awards of the night, and her acceptance speech was equally moving:
“This is likely to remain the proudest work of my life,” she said. “It made me feel more vibrant and expressive than ever … For all aesoons who lived their lives alive in a world that told us to keep us blurry, and to every geummyeong that planted their dreams with boldness, I devote my respect and gratitude.”

Her co -star Yeom Hye ran, awarded the best support actress for her role as Gwang Rye, echoing the emotional depth of her own moment on stage: “I have never received so much support and praise in my life. It’s overwhelming,” she said. “I thank the author and director for giving myself a project once in my life.”
Park Bo Gum, who appeared in a small but striking role, accepted the best drama crime for When life gives you mandarins With silent grace: “I sincerely thank the crew that worked hard through all four seasons. It was an honor to produce Gwan SIK. This was made possible thanks to the child actors and senior actor Park Hae Joon.”
Netflix’s Trauma Code: Heroes On Call Was another big winner of the night, took home the best drama with the best actor for Ju Ji Hoon and best new actors for Choo Young Woo. After all, applauded for taking intensity and humanity to the medical thriller, acknowledged the challenge of adapting source material with a humble nod to its team: “Living a comic book is no simple performance … Thanks to everyone who helped make it realistic, especially my friend, director Lee do yoon.”

Elsewhere, Karma Got a memorable victory when Lee Kwang Soo nabbed the best supportive actors and delivered a typical offbeat acceptance: “Do told me that he dreamed that I died of an infection after getting a hair transplant. He cursed me but said it was a happy dream. Thanks, do!”
With fierce competition, powerful performances and a landscape that shifted away from traditional networks, the 2025 Blue Dragon Series Awards reflected the future of Korean entertainment – Hidden, Global and Unapologetically Digital.
