International Bnl D’Italia, Rome Masters Rit 2025

2025 Rome Masters Draw is live, and the main tensile measure will start at Foro Italico on Wednesday, May 7.

Jannik sins’ return to action after his 3-month negotiated failed doping test suspension is the most important point of speech. I am sure he will be well received by the Italian fans, who seem to be most willing to wrap the story under the rug despite the countless flags.

Sinner will start his campaign against either Mariano Navone or Wild Card Federico Cina. He was able to meet the recently crowned Madrid champion Casper Ruud in the quarter finals. The Italian leads their H2H 3-0. Ruud, who comes from his first Masters 1000 title, opens against Roman Safulin or Alexander Bublic.

After missing Madrid because of an adductor injury, Carlos Alcaraz returns to the court in Rome, where he will take on Jan-Lennard Stuff or Yoshihito Nishioca in his opening match. The Spanjolen is grafted to meet world # 5 and Madrid runner Jack Draper in the quarter finals.

The defending champion Alexander Zverev will start his title defense against either a qualifying or Argentina’s Camilo Ugo Carabelli. The second seed saw his seven-match victory, which was snapped in Madrid by Francisco Cerundolo, who handed Zverev a third straight loss in their H2H.

Zverev is in line to meet Alcaraz in a potential semi -final, but his path is anything but easy. His neighborhood has a tough group, including Lorenzo Musetti, Daniil Medvedev, Arthur Fils and Stefano’s Tsitsipas.

Medvedev, who won the Rome title in 2023, begins against a qualifying or Christopher O’Connell. He could meet Musetti in the fourth round, and based on his current form you can’t really see Meddy Fairing for good in that matchup.

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner is back in action and launches its Rome campaign against either Mariano Navone or Federico Cina. Italy’s draw is tricky, with the spotted Alejandro Davidovich Fokina who potentially awaits in round three. Francisco Cerundolo was able to test his Mettle in the fourth round if Sinner navigates it.

Another potential headache comes in the quarters, where the Clay Court Hot Casper Ruud is likely to lurk.

Ruud’s heavy top spin, which was fresh of a Madrid open, was able to use Sinner’s rust after a three-month hiatus, and he is not the most natural clay track player compared to the tennis he can produce in tough courts.

Above during the second quarter, things are relatively open. Taylor Fritz and Alex de Minaur heading but remain unproven on clay at this level. Alongside dark horses like Tommy Paul and João Fonseca are also in the mixture. Mensik can also take into account here.

Andrey Rublev was able to steal the limelight because he is a clay court threat when he shoots, but his Madrid Wobbles indicates that he is still looking for the extra equipment.

Lower half

Seeded players: (2) Alexander Zverev, (3) Carlos Alcaraz, (5) Jack Draper, (8) Lorenzo Musetti, (9) Holger Rune, (10) Daniil Medvedev, (13) Arthur, (14) Grigor Dimitrov, (18) Stefanos Tsitsipas, (21) Popyrin, (21) Popyrin, (21) Popyrin, Nakashima, (31) Alex Michelsen, (32) Sebastian Baez

Defending Master and No. 2 Frö Alexander Zverev’s season have been up and down. After winning in Munich, he was dumped from Madrid in the fourth round of Cerundolo, and I still don’t think he has a huge amount of confidence in his game.

While the German gets a soft more open to Camilo Ugo Carabelli or a qualification, the road becomes uneven quickly.

Denis Shapovalov was able to provide great striking chaos in round three, followed by a potential Stefano’s Tsitsipas showdown in the fourth. Five of the Greeks’ 10 wins in H2H have come up with clay but have not yet met in Rome.

If Zverev survives, the quarters may apply to him against the hometown of Lorenzo Musetti or Daniil Medvedev. The Russians showed that he can play well here when he lifted the title two years ago, but 2025 Medvedev seems far away from the 2023 version.

During the third quarter, Carlos Alcaraz returns after his injury, which kept him away from Madrid. I predicted a clay court realization a la Nadal after he won Monte Carlo, but that has not happened.

Assuming he shoots, the Spaniard should move on to the neighborhood and probably send Grigor Dimitrov in round four. Elsewhere, Holger Rune and Jack Draper were able to throw it out for a final eight place, with Danes Clay game that gave him the edge, provided he fits the match.
