Attach your seatbelts – G -wip Just dropped their third studio album ‘Dream Ride’And that’s exactly what the title promises: a wild, neon cruise through the 80’s nostalgia, queer joy and big screen pop theatri.
Undoubtedly inspired by Bruce SpringsteenLate evenings around Los Angeles, the 1980s reverb and maximalist drums, the retro-powered collection see the acclaimed singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist successfully mix a variety of eclectic musical styles in a coherent, genre-bending sound.
Consists of 10 wonderfully lively tracks – including the singles ‘Disco Cowgirl’The ‘Big Ol’ Hammer ‘and ‘In another life’ -LP sees the Melbourne-born, LA-based musical polymate that plays each instrument and collaborates with co-author/producer Aidan Hogg.
G Flip comments, says G Flip: “‘Dream Ride’ Is my little 80’s Butch Springsteen -Fantasi. This post wrote, recorded and produced in my studio in LA with Aidan Hogg. We made over 100 songs to get to the last 10 that make up the album. “
“This album is inspired by the ’80s. I’ve always resonated with’ 80s music, it embodies so much music-larger-to-life theatrics, Bright colors, epic solos, huge drum tones, and a sonic all of waste like a movie. Create My Own ’80s World. I Wanted to Make Songs That Make You Dance, Sing, Cry, F*CK, Laugh, and Enjoy On A Long Drive. In Hope this record feels familiar and new, old and new, nostalgic but present.

To follow the release, they have shared an official music video for the previously unreleased track ‘BED ON FIRE’.
By inspiration behind the track G -wip Explains: “This song is about the anxiety that I grew up and felt that I was attending Catholic school, has my first experience with a woman and being like, ‘I am bloody pile of this love I have for someone I shouldn’t’. It says, “Well, if I’m going to hell anyway, I’ll set this place or bed on fire with my queerness”. “
Then the “good enough” singer will go into an extensive heading world tour and perform on both the editions in Washington, DC and New York City All things go music festival. Called Dream Ride TourG Flip’s heading date starts next week in the USA Buren in Phoenix, AZ on September 9, continues through major American and Canadian markets including New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles and more, before going to the UK and Australia.
