You bad guys! The full cast has been announced for the highly anticipated UK tour Legally blonde The musical and we are beyond psyched.
It has previously been announced that theater sensation Amber Davies will take on the iconic role of Elle Woods. She is joined by Hannah Lowther as Margot and the alternate Elle, George Crawford as Emmett, Karen Mavundukure as Paulette, Jamie Chatterton as Warner, Annabelle Terry as Vivian, Jocasta Almgill as Brooke and Adam Cooper as Callahan.
Also announced were Rosanna Harris as Serena, Remi Ferdinand as Pilar, Ty-Reece Stewart as Kyle and Bradley Delarosbel as Carlos. The cast is rounded out by Keanna Bloomfield, James Lim, Aaron Shales, Jaime Tait, Daisy Twells, Louie Wood, Raiaz Fisher, Dylan Gordon-Jones, Lauren Hampton and Ollie Hart-Bradford.
Based on the novel Legally blonde by Amanda Browning, and the 2001 film starring Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Coolidge, Legally Blonde The Musical follows Elle Woods, a fashion-obsessed sorority queen who has it all, until she is dumped by her boyfriend Warner because she is not “serious” enough for him. Determined to win back the love of her life, Elle gets into Harvard Law School and proves to everyone else—and herself—that she’s much more than just a pink-clad blonde!
With music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin, Legally Blonde The Musical made its Broadway debut in 2007, followed by an award-winning West End production in 2010. Most recently, the show embarked on a sensational revival at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theater in 2022.
Produced by Curve and ROYO, Legally Blonde The Musical will open in Leicester in February before touring the UK until 2027. Curve artistic director Nikolai Foster will direct the new production. The production team also includes choreographer Leah Hill, musical supervisor and additional arrangements Matt Spencer-Smith, set designer Colin Richmond, costume designer, wigs, hair and make-up designer Sam Cox, lighting designer Ben Cracknell and sound designer Adam Fisher.
