Freya Skye shines on debut EP ‘stardust’

Rising star Freya Skye has unveiled her highly anticipated debut EP, stardust, which includes her breakout hit “silent treatment”.

Freya wrote and worked with an acclaimed team of writers and producers, including powerhouse Julia Michaels (Sabrina Carpenter, HER), Grammy-winning duo Mattman & Robin (Taylor Swift), Johan Carlsson (Ariana Grande), as well as distinguished writers and producers.

The five-track EP is a bold offering that marks Freya as one to watch. She is a compelling storyteller who has quickly gained a large support network, amassing over 1.5 billion streams in just a few months. The EP consists of “silent treatment”, “small”, “golden boy”, “maybe tomorrow” and “why did you have to call”.

On her debut EP, Freya shared, “I’m so excited that my debut EP stardust is finally out! I am so excited about this project and proud of how it has come together. Every song on stardust is part of who I was when I wrote it. They are messy, honest and a little broken on their own, but together they tell the whole story.

This EP is about embracing those fragments and letting them exist just as they are, and I really hope people can connect with it and love it the way I do. This really feels like my first big step into music and one that I feel very excited about.”

Freya’s rise has been incredible to watch so far, with her music capturing audiences in her native England as well as globally. With a social reach of more than 7 million, she shows no signs of slowing down, especially with “Silent Treatment” continuing to take off on the charts and at radio.

Tomorrow (February 6), Freya kicks off her sold-out headline Stars Align tour, starting in Portland. The singer-songwriter will then travel across North America to cities including Seattle, LA, Chicago, Washington and New York before starting her UK run on March 3 in Birmingham. The tour will be the first time that Freja will debut some of her own stardust track, which will please her army of fans.
