Alexander Zverev reached the Roland Garros quarter finals for the seventh time in eight years on Monday, when Tallon Griekspoor retired during the second set.

Zverev, leading 6-4, 3-0, saw the Dutch urging physio before retiring after 54 minutes on the court Suzanne Lenglen.

Griekspoor, ranked world no. 35, had taken a 3-0 lead in the first set, but his game saw Underspowered. The couple, who meet for the third time in 2025, have a history of tight matches, so I expected a battle out there.

But it never really got started when Griekspoo’s abdomen was taped, and he did not beat his serving as a maximum.

However, Zverev has looked sharp in Paris so far, and although he is untested today he has played some good tennis and should test Djokovic in Wednesday’s quarterfinale.

Novak Djokovic noted his 100th victory at Roland Garros on Monday and became only the other player after Rafael Nadal (112 wins) to reach this mark at the event.

The sixth seed defeated Cameron Norrie 6-2, 6-3, 6-2 to move on to the quarterfinals for the 16th year in a row at the Clay-Court Grand Slam.

Norrie gave Novak a tough time in Geneva a week ago, but since then Novak has grown in confidence and improved its level of tennis, while Norrie has stopped about the same.

It allowed the Serbs to overclass Brit with his typically accurate game, where he has the ultimate control over the ball from the baseline.

Norrie started well by going up a break, but Djokovic took advantage of her faults, and despite Norrie adopting a more daring strategy in the second set, giving him a little success, he fought for a medical timeout for his left ankle of 3-4.

From there, Djokovic seized control and won eight of the last 10 matches in a two-hour, 14-minute victory.

It is a very beautiful number, but 101 victories sound better. I will continue to search for another victory, it is clearly not ready for me here. I am very honored to do history in this sport, which has given me everything in my life. I’m fine. I always have high expectations, I know I can always play better every day. But in the end there are 12 sets, 12 sets won, so it’s all positive and solid until now Novak on its winnings.

Alexander Bublik Def Jack Draper (5) 5-7 6-3 6-2 6-4

Alexander Bublik’s remarkable Roland Garros campaign continued on Monday with a 5-7, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 upset over Jack Draper, which marked his second top 10 victory a week.

Despite Bublik’s improved performances on Clay this season, including a Challenger title in Turin, I thought Draper would have too much power and texture for Kazakh.

However, Bublic took another look to the table, and Draper got the death from a thousand drip shots.

After losing the first set, Bublic struggled back, matching draps from the baseline and then picked him up with a perfectly executed dropshot that Briten could not come close to reaching.

Bublik’s playing style also won the crowd, and his serve made a significant contribution to his cause and won 79% of his first service points throughout the match.

Although they are in no way similar in terms of playing style, some of Bublik’s drip pictures and Chips Federer-Esque, and outside the discoveries you often see from him on the court, have a very complete game. There were even a couple of half Sabers from him.

I also think Draper played well and can’t be too disappointed. He struggled hard in the last game, much almost break back, and some of his defensive games were very impressive. Bublic was just too good.

Sometimes in life there is only one chance, and I had a feeling that it was mine, and I couldn’t let it slip. Standing here is the best moment of my life, period. Bublic of their winnings.

Jannik Sinner (1) Def Andy Rublev (17) 6-1 6-3 6-4

Sinner French Open 2025Sinner French Open 2025

Jannik Sinner drove into the Roland Garros quarter final on Monday and defeated Andrey Rublev 6-1, 6-3, 6-4 in a leading performance at the Court Philippe Chatrier.

Before the match, I thought that Rublev would not be able to disturb the sinner in the least, and that is how it panned out.

Rublev opened aggressively as he always does and earned two break points in the first game, but Sinner rescued decisively and saved both with a stable baseline and continued to dominate the 30-minute first set.

How Rubled plays always allow a player to build rhythm, and unless Russian can overpower them from the baseline, he has no other real way to win points. No real online game, no drip pictures, no discs, no variation.

That overwhelming sinners are not possible, because he moves too well and how he hits the ball, even out into the corners, neutralizes completely ruined aggressive style, which allows him to counteract the winners from both wings.

Sinner is now facing Bublic, and I think Kazak will offer more resistance, because he has a more varied game. Can he stay focused over five sets against Sinner’s precision? It remains to be seen, but if he calls in dropshot as he did today against Draper, he can at least test sins’ legs progressing.
