Jannik Sinner is in his sixth Grand Slam semi-finals after seeing Alexander Bublik 6-1, 7-5, 6-0.

World No. 1 dominated the Philippe Chatrier Court and used its brand precision to counteract Bublik’s play on an hour, 48-minute route.

I thought bublic can cause some problems, as Sinner has shown the entire tournament that he is just too good for players of ball machines.

Bublik offers something a little different, but he started nervous and made too many mistakes when he dropped the opener 6-1.

It set the tone for the match when it sucked all the faith from Bublic, and although he collected in the second set when he got his drip shot to work nicely, broke the sinner in the 11th game to catch the set and then continued to Bagel Bublik in the third and won the last eight matches in the match.

We already played a couple of times, so you know a little what to expect. But in a different way, with him, you never know what is happening. He deserved to be in the quarter finals, he beat very tough opponents. I tried to stay focused on my side of the court and play as solid as possible as he can have some ups and downs. I try to earn very well in important moments, which I have done. Against this type of player you have to be consistent because if you make many mistakes it is a game there if we both earn very well, there are already not so many rally. I tried to get rhythm with the meetings. I am very pleased with how I came to the semi -finals. Semifinal in Grand Slams is very special, so I look forward to it. Sinners on their winnings.

Novak Djokovic delivered a leading performance on Wednesday evening at Roland Garros and overcame last year’s finalist Alexander Zverev 4-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 to reach his 51st Grand Slam semi-finals.

Zverev started strong, took a 2-0 lead and won the first set with a success rate of 17/18. But you could feel that Novak came into things, and after breaking in his opening service game, he never looked like letting go again.

In the second set, Djokovic began to mix his game and interfere with Zverev’s baseline game with a varied approach that included drip shots and net games to even points quickly.

He maintained this approach until the end, mixed short points, network exchanges and cruel rally, including a 41-shot rally to save a breaking point in the fourth set of sixth match, which is a point in this year’s challenger.

He then sealed the three-hour, 18-minute victory at his fifth match point to move into his 13th Roland Garro’s semi-finals.

A few weeks ago I thought Novak could even skip Clay to focus on the grass season, given his early seasonal match. But he has regained the top form and arrived in Paris fresh from his 100th tournament level in Geneva, and he is now on a nine-match victory.

Tonight I thought he was playing a lot of solid and took advantage of the weaknesses in Zverev’s game. I am unwilling to say “good” because I’m not sure of Zverev’s game level.

The German is a simple goal for criticism, so I do not want to kick him while he is down, but his record against the best in sludge is relatively bad (8/15 against top 10), and tonight was a weak performance where he never looked like he thought the winner out there.

Djokovic was always one step ahead of him, when he easily read his game, and he met his ground stretches with much more conviction (on average +3 km / h more). So it was the same old story for Sascha: too passive sometimes and did not grab the bull by the horns. When he goes a set, he has to keep his foot down, not start to hit through the center of the court from far back. Ironically, one of the best points he played when he saved one of the four match points in the final game 😕

Especially during the last game, my tactics were just playing drip shot. So I played three or four in a row … maybe you can’t see it on TV, but there is a lot of wind from one side, so it gives the feeling that you have to hit twice as hard. It was important to vary the game. Obviously there was a lot of pressure at the end, Zverev has been one of the best players in the world for the past six years. Matches like this tonight are the reason I still want to play and compete. Djokovic on his win.
