The Cincinnati Open final is canceled, and it is the most predicted.
Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz will meet for the title in an re -match of their Wimbledon final and echo Blockbuster Novak Djokovic against Alcaraz Clash in Cincinnati two years ago.
Both players advanced in straight sets on day 10, with sinners who navigated the qualifier Terence Atmanes left game before pulling away, while Alcaraz brushed aside a sick Alexander Zverev.
It puts up another chapter in their rivalry with World No. 1 against World No. 2, with the North American summer’s largest Masters 1000 trophy on the line on Monday. A Monday final? 😕

Jannik Sinner Def. Terence Atman, 7-6 (4), 6-2
Jannik Sinner celebrated his 24th birthday by defeating the qualifier Terence Atmane 7-6 (4), 6-2 to move within a victory of defending his title.
World No. 1 met a strict first test from the world no. 136, which used its left service effectively during the first set.
However, a costly Atmane double error opened tiebreak, which the sinner dressed before dominating the second set.
I thought Atmane played decent, and gave up at least one shot in the first set, but Sinner was not really tested on serving, won 91% of points and not before a single breaking point. He always had atmane in arm’s length and no one has been able to test him so far in Ohio.
It was a very, very tough challenge. Every time you play against something completely new, it is difficult, but playing against this guy in the later stages of a tournament is even more difficult. The pressure is higher and you know they deserve to be there … He has beaten incredible players during his winnings. I knew I had to be very careful, and my way of thinking was in a good place. I felt that I was handling the situations on the court very well. He earned incredibly well in the first set. He has a huge, enormous potential, and I think we saw it in the tournament. Sinners on their winnings.

Carlos Alcaraz Def. Alexander Zverev, 6-4, 6-3

Carlos Alcaraz was driven into his ninth ATP Masters 1000 final and defeated a struggling Alexander Zverev 6-4, 6-3 in 87 minutes
In the first set, Zverev started well and design three break points in game four, but he failed to convert, which allowed Carlos to take responsibility and catch the first set.
From there, Zverev faded when Carlos broke in the opening game in the second set, and although he hit three consecutive double errors in a decay of concentration to refrain from the break, it was competitive from there.
A medical timeout for Zverev when he led 2-1 for what looked like what affected him against Shelton was in fact the end of things, because he could not compete for resumption and finally lose the last 16 points in the match.
It is never easy to play against someone you know does not know 100 percent. It’s even tougher when it comes from Sascha, such a big player, such a big person off the track. We have a really good relationship. We started the match really well, play good rally, a good level of tennis. But then he suddenly began to feel bad. And then my focus I thought about how he is doing, besides focusing on myself and playing good tennis. It was a really hard situation for me and I only wish him all the best Alcaraz on his win.
