Global singer-songwriter Charlie Puth have announced their fourth studio album, Whatever is smart!, expected to be released on March 6, 2026 via Atlantic Records.
Co-produced by BloodPop, Whatever is smart! looks set to be Charlie’s bravest, boldest and most honest work to date. To celebrate the announcement, the artist has offered fans a taste of what’s to come in the form of new single ‘Changes’.
The song contains everything we know and love about Charlie’s music – infectious hooks, a sing-song chorus and signature piano solos enough to lift even the heaviest of hearts and feet. “Changes” also comes with a nostalgia-inducing video directed by Charlotte Rutherford. The visuals have a classic ’80s vibe and playfully nod to a long-gone pre-digital era. It also features a cameo from his lovely wife Brooke Sansone, who announces her pregnancy.
Whatever is smart! will be the sequel to 2022 CHARLIE which featured platinum-certified hit singles ‘Light Switch’ and ‘Left and Right’ featuring Jung Kook of BTS.
Just last month, Charlie played a series of sold-out underplay residencies at the Blue Note New York, with special guest appearances from Babyface, Jimmy Jam and Anthony Ramos.
