BLACKPINK’s Jisoo Looks for Love in Netflix’s ‘Boyfriend on Demand’

Netflix has revealed the trailer for their upcoming K-drama Boyfriend On Demand, which sees BLACKPINK’s Jisoo looking for love online.

The official synopsis reads: “Seo Mi-rae (Jisoo) is exhausted from work. Love? It’s the last thing on her mind. But a virtual dating service stirs up feelingsβ€”and maybe a real chance at romance.”

The teaser trailer shows an exhausted and overworked Seo Mi-rae entering the world of virtual dating and enjoying a series of hilarious, bizarre and heart-stopping encounters. The virtual world allows her to interact with perfect matches and potential virtual boyfriends, without the emotional demands.

Directed by Kim Jung-sik, Boyfriend on Demand is a 10-episode series filmed in the Philippines and features a supporting cast including Seo In-guk as Park Kyeong-nam, Gong Min-jeung, Kim Ah-young, Seo Kang-joon, Lee Soo-hyuk, Kim Young-dae, and Lee Jae-wook.

Netflix has also released a sweet poster for the K-drama series, confirming the March 6 premiere date.

Jisoo is best known for being one quarter of the global K-Pop group BLACKPINK. In recent years, each member has pursued solo projects, with Jisoo releasing her own music as well as appearing in a number of acting projects, including the series Newtopia and the movie Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy. BLACKPINK is coming back with a mini album Deadline on February 27, which consists of five songs including the 2025 single “Jump.”

Boyfriend on Demand makes its way to Netflix on March 6.
