Kendrick Lamar appeared as the undisputed king in the evening and swept five prices – including This year’s album for GnxThe Best male hip hop artist for a record eighth time, and This year’s video For “Not like us” – out of an astonishing ten nominations. His dominant night not only strengthened his legacy as a generational force but also marked only the second time an artist has twice alleged album of the year awards, a performance he now shares with Beyoncé.
By the side of Lamar, SZA and Chris Brown continued his reign as R&B -Royalty. SZA secured Best Female R & B/Pop Artist for the third year in a row, tie Alicia keys and only after Beyoncé and split Best collaboration Price with Lamar for their Smash “Luther”, a touching nod to the late Luther vandross.
In the meantime, Chris Brown extended their own disc as Best Male R & B/Pop ArtistAlso wins Besare’s Choice Award for “residues.” The night also saw Doechii break through to demand Best female hip hop artistwith its platform to give a powerful speech in support of protesters outside the arena.
Despite high hopes and several nominations, Drake Left empty -handed, which creates one of the night’s most talked about surprises. From electrifying performances to moving tributes for legends that Quincy Jones, Angie Stone and Roberta Flack2025 The Bet Award celebrated both the influence of black culture and the rising stars that shaped its future.
