Best Sports Game Selection Today: NHL, NBA pre -prospects for February 2

Unless you count football match AFC vs. NFC Flag, today it is the first Sunday without NFL measure since September 1.

Super Bowl will be more than compensating for this weekend’s empty football slate, but there are still plenty of betting options today on hardwood and on the ice.

We will look at two teams from Philadelphia before we check out a couple of sinking troops in Salt Lake City.

NHL: Philadelphia Flyers at Colorado Avalanche (15:00 ET)

The Flyers crime has fizzled in the middle of a downturn that has dropped Philadelphia six points from the Eastern Conference’s final wild-card site.

After collecting 22 goals during a 5-0-1 distance, the flyer has done only six times while he went 1-4-0 ago. They have become empty in both their last two matches, but they will break through Avalanche.

Mackenzie Blackwood was flawless in a 5-0 victory over St. Louis on Friday, although the Colorado Net Minister only met 19 shots. Before that, Blackwood had allowed at least four goals in each of its previous five starts. Backup Scott Wedgewood has also not been good, as he handed at least two goals in six straight performances.

It is difficult to see Philadelphia shut down for a third straight game, and given that none of the avalanche goalkeeper has been a stout from late, I feel good with the flyer that ends his drought and keeps Sunday’s game close.

NBA: Boston Celtics at Philadelphia 76ers (18:00 ET)

Tyrese Maxey has emerged as the guy for a Sixers team that has flopped during his first season since he had nined nine-o’clock all-Star Paul George through a free agency. George cannot stay healthy, nor Joel Embiid, but Maxey’s Breakout campaign has Philadelphia in a miraculous way within reach of the Eastern Conference’s last play-in place.

On average, the fifth year guard is one career high 27.5 points per match and has been especially solid for the past two weeks. He has shot at least 50 percent in total in each of Sixers’ seven last matches and has reached 30 points five times during this range.

Celtics enters on Sunday, which is bound as the league’s fifth best points defense, but Maxey has been successful against Filadelfia’s long -lasting rival. He was an average of 25.7 points in three matches against Boston last season and made Celtics for 33 in a road victory on Christmas Day in the team’s first meeting this year.

With George and Embiid sideways again on Sunday, look for Maxey to deliver another explosive performance.

NHL: st. Louis Blues at Utah Hockey Club (19:00 ET)

Both troops enter this matchup on a four-game losing line, but Utah has been a little more competitive in the middle of its struggle.

In both of his last two matches, Utah carried a lead into the third period before giving it up and eventually lost 3-2 in overtime. Utah was also in decent form for most of the time in his two previous losses and played to a draw during the third period before he fell 5-2 to Winnipeg and 3-1 to Ottawa.

Each of these four defeat could have gone the other way for Utah, but it is difficult to say the same thing for St. Louis. Blues have been outsiced 16-4 during their last four losses, each of which has come with at least two goals.

About St. Louis turns it, it will probably not be against Utah, who already owns a couple of 4-2 wins over Blues this season.
