Ben Platt and Rachel Zegler perform in The Last Five Years 25th Anniversary Concert at the London Palladium

Two of musical theatre’s most electrifying voices join forces for one of the most anticipated West End events of 2026. Tony Award Winner Ben Platt and Golden Globe winners Rachel Zegler will headline a special 25th anniversary concert Jason Robert Brown’s The last five years at London Palladiumruns 24–29 March 2026.

The limited commitment will see Platt take on the role of Jamie Wellersteinan aspiring novelist whose career takes off just as his marriage begins to crumble, opposite Zegler who Cathy Hiattan aspiring actress who talks about their relationship. The two-character musical, which premiered in 2001, is notable for its emotional structure – Jamie’s story moves forward in time, while Cathy’s takes place backwards, the pair only meeting once in the middle.

Composer and lyricist Brown (Parade, The Bridges of Madison County) will direct and direct the anniversary production himself, bringing an extra sense of authenticity to the landmark.

Platt, best known for originating the title role in Dear Evan Hansen and for his acclaimed solo career he returns to the London stage after being sold out Daydream tour stop at the O2 in 2023. Zegler, who broke out as Maria in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story and recently made his West End debut in Avoidwill make her concert musical debut in the role of Cathy – a part long sought after by vocal powers.

The last five years presented by Lambert Jackson with LW Tickets with musical direction by Leo Munby. Emma Butler will serve as Deputy Director.

To work with Jason Robert Brown again, one of the greatest composers of our time, is a total privilege and his faith in Lambert Jackson is something we are eternally grateful for. Working with LW tickets and deepening our relationship with the LW team in London, where we produced a week of The LW team in London. 30 shows, is a big step forward for everyone involved and we are excited to see where it leads.”

Tickets go on sale in advance at 10.00 am on 30 October 2025with general sales opening 10:00 am on 31 October 2025.
