Multi-platinum artist and songwriter Bebe Rexha is BACK! She has announced her new album DIRTY BLONDE featuring a first-of-its-kind supercut – a high-octane, 4-minute mashup that merges 13 of her upcoming singles and corresponding video elements into one adrenaline-packed release.
The album sees Bebe collaborate with independent label EMPIRE, who strongly advocate the creative freedom behind this unique campaign. Moving away from the constraints of a traditional album release, Bebe plans to deliver music in a format that feels immediate, disruptive and entirely on her terms while connecting with her fans.
Speaking about the album, Bebe said: “This next chapter is about creative freedom – trusting my instincts, trusting my voice and finally doing things that I’ve always wanted to. I’ve learned a lot, I’ve lived a lot and I’m completely on my own now. Following my gut has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in my fear, this is anxious and without fear. unforgiving – no filters, no boundaries. DIRTY BLONDE I own exactly who I am.”
Bebe has also released the first full-length track from DIRTY BLONDE: “I like you better than me”. The track is a raw and emotionally stark reflection on the ubiquitous insecurities, brutal self-comparison and pressures of existing in a competitive industry like Hollywood, especially as a woman.
“I wrote this song because I know what it’s like to feel trapped by comparisons and impossible expectations,” Bebe said. “This album is about transparency, being real and raw – that’s why I felt it was important to release this first. Through it, I hope to connect with anyone who’s ever felt less than enough and remind them that they’re not alone. Struggling with these feelings doesn’t make you weak – it makes you human.”
The accompanying visual for ‘I Like You Better Than Me’ will be released on February 17, while fans can vote on which song Bebe will release next via her website.
DIRTY BLONDE will be released on June 12.
