London based boy band Absent mind is back with a raw, pulsating new single, ‘Sew’a track that channels emotional vulnerability through clever pop production and alt-R&B undertones.
Known for their seamless harmonies and introspective lyrics, the rising quintet continues to blur the lines between classic boy band charm and modern sonic experimentation.
With ‘Sew’the boys take inspiration from retro classic songs like Elton Johns “Bennie And The Jets” and Ben Folds “Hiroshima (BBB Benny Hit His Head)”to draw listeners into a darker, more mature soundscape — it’s a reflection of heartbreak, healing and the messy art of holding a loved one together when everything around them seems to be falling apart.
Co-written by the band along with Mother Jones (Little Mix, Sugababes), JC Stewart and Alex Stacey during one of their first sessions at the legendary Metropolis Studios, and produced by Gil Lewis (XO) and Matt Radthe single serves as the follow-up to previous releases ‘Friendly’, ‘Wardrobe’ and ‘Special’.

After a whirlwind summer packed with sold-out headline shows, standout sets at Brighton Pride (where they opened for Mariah Carey), Bear Grylls’ Gone Wild Festival and Electric Picnic, plus support slots for Sugababes and Olly Murs, Alex, Ashton, Conor, Freddie and Oscar aka Absent mind riding a serious high!
Ahead of their upcoming promo trip to Japan, the group will end the year with an intimate headline show in London at The grace on Sunday, December 21 — with tickets on sale Monday, November 3 from Livenation.com.
Offstage, the boys enjoyed a major viral moment when Sabrina Carpenter himself rearranged his “Manchild” video on TikTok – and now the momentum around them shows no signs of slowing down. The band is back in the studio working with pop heavyweights Ed Drewett and Mike Needlecreating their next chapter.
