
Charlotte Hornet’s guard Lamelo Ball spray her left ankle during the second quarter of a meeting with Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night.
Ball was injured after knocking down a 3-pointer with 8:47 in the first half. He back pedaling by the mark as he walked on the Lakers forward Jarred Vanderbilt’s foot and made him roll the ankle.
Hornets later announced that the ball was made for the game.
Before his departure, Ball had seven points and an assist of nine minutes of action.
Injuries have constantly tormented the 23-year-old ball during his five-year NBA career. He only played 22 games (all starts) last season and went in on Monday with averages of 28.9 points, 5.4 returns and 7.5 assists over 30 games (all starts) 2024-25.
