Premieres: Rising Indie Star Inés Halls “Next to Me” is out today

Since her debut in 2022, NYC singer inés Hall has released a number of indie people who have captured melancholy by heart damage with dreamy melodies and raw, passionate texts. The release of her latest single, “Next to Me”, is a brilliant new sound that captures Hall’s versatility as an artist and quotes her heritage in the Indie people/alternative scene.

Released earlier today, “Next to Me” maintains Hall’s signature talent to explore complex feelings through a compelling and captivating melody. From the first note to the last chord, “Next to Me” delivers an infectious pace that will have both new and old fans who continue to sing long after the song is over. Explosive but uplifting, Hall’s latest single is a Hymne for everyone. Borrowing from the cheeky attitude of alternative rock and the playful twang of the country, “next to me” is a perfect mix of genres that evokes a sound that is completely unique to the hall.

“This is the kind of song you can listen to anywhere,” says Hall. “It’s guaranteed to get your mood up.”

“Beside me” would not be in place among other Indie people singers such as Phoebe Bridgers, role model and Coldplay. Sonically, the single is built from the ground up to be a main boot. Thick, saturated guitars that soak over thumping drums and twangy basins invokes a feeling of playfulness, while a four-on-floor in the middle of Tempo Downbeat keeps listener nods along each step on the road. Hall’s captivating song raises the song to new heights and turns it into an immediate sing-long classic.

“You can listen to it anywhere, but I think it sounds best when you drive down the road, the windows down and the wind in your hair,” says Hall.

“Next to me” has an impressive list of collaborators – the first demonstration was performed with Josh Liebman (John Batiste, Josh Groban, HBO) before the production ended with Myles Rodenhouse, singer and producer of earthquake lights. In addition to these All-Star-collaborators, the mastering information for “next to me” was handled by Dan Millice, Grammy and Emmy-award-winning engineer who has worked with prominent artists such as Dolly Parton and a $ AP Rocky.

Hall’s latest track follows her former single, “both in bed”, a subtle collision of acoustic guitar and dreamy synth that shaved hall to a consistent 20,000 Spotify listeners each month. Hall is really an artist for modern Times, with a growing online fanbase that includes over 13,000 followers on TikTok and several features in popular music blogs such as Earmilk.

As her music continues to break records and her fanbase grows every day, this indie-folk songwriter will surely leave a lasting mark on the music industry. “Next to me” is out from April 9, 2025 and is available to buy and stream over all major stores.
