Quentin Grimes led seven Philadelphia covers in double figures with 28 points, and the 76th snapped a three-game losing slide with its 130-125 road victory over Dallas Mavericks on Sunday.
Grimes shot 10-AV-19 from the floor and pulled six assists and burned Filadelfia’s highest scored excursion since January 31. On Sunday, Grimes marked the fifth match with at least 28 points in March.
Eleven of his team high came in a dominant third quarter that turned the tide to Sixer’s advantage. Philadelphia surpassed Dallas during the period, 34-18, and built a 12-point pillow which it contained during much of the fourth quarter.
Sixers led by 14 points halfway through the last period, but Mavericks went on a 16-5 run in the last four plus minutes to draw within a point of 38 seconds left.
Spencer Dinwiddie came from the bench to get 18 points, including the arrangement that brought Dallas within one point. However, Mavericks could not complete the comeback, as Philadelphia met all six free throwing over the last 25 seconds to secure the victory.
Dinwiddie looked at a game-binding 3-pointer with 11 seconds left but missed and sent Dallas to his eighth loss during the last nine games.
Ricky Council IV published a double double double double with 13 points and 10 returns. Jalen Hood-Schifino, Jeff Dowtin Jr. And Oshae Brissett scored 19, 14 and 13 points from the bench.
Guerschon Yabusele finished with 14 points and six returns, and started in the Center for the Sixers, and was one of four Philadelphia players with two Steals together with Grimes, Brissett and Justin Edwards, who also got 10 points.
PJ Washington led Dallas with game heights of 29 points and 12 returns. Kyy Thompson scored 21 points and shot 3-7 from 3-point intervals. Max Christie, who got 18 points from the bench, shot 4-of-6 from long distance.
The rest of Mavericks was only 3-AV-21 from the outside.
