Miami Marlin’s Outfielder Jesus Sanchez suffered a left oblique injury and is on the side for four weeks.
Marlin’s manager Clayton McCullough spoke with the media about the tribe.
“It’s like, a plus, I say, kind of between one and two,” he said. “It’s one of the areas and things that are a little difficult to nail. Category one, you are looking at, probably optimistic, would be like a month from now on.”
Sanchez suffered the injury during Thursday’s spring training game against Houston Astros. The 27-year-old veteran was a bright place for Miami last season and published 18 home races, 64 RBI and 16 stolen bases with .252/.313/.417 Slust.
Derek Hill and Dane Myers competed for the Start Center field, but with Sanchez Out, both players have a clear path to the starting lineup.
Last season, Hill fit into 32 matches for Marlins and beat four home races with 18 RBI on a .234/.259/.402 line, while Myers, a former less league rule-5-selection, played 44 matches, recorded three home races and 19 RBI.
