The iconic Leslie Odom Jr. will make his West End debut later this summer when he reprises his role as Aaron Burr in Hamilton.
The Tony and Grammy Award winner originated the role of Burr on Broadway and will now join the West End production for a limited nine-week run from July 3 to September 5, 2026. He previously reprized the role in the Broadway production for a brief period last year and reunited with the original Broadway cast at the 70th Tony Awards for 108 years.
Speaking about joining the West End cast, Leslie said: “Returning to Hamilton and revisiting the role of Aaron Burr with the growth and perspective of time has been a deeply healing artistic experience. I’m having so much fun! I am grateful to Cameron Mackintosh and Jeffrey Seller for the invitation to make my West End debut with this great company.
“The London production will give me another glorious few weeks to share Lin-Manuel’s music with an international audience who, I’ve learned, love this show as much, if not more, than I do. I’m crossing the ocean and I just can’t wait.”
Producer Cameron Mackintosh added: “When Jeffrey Seller first invited me to watch Hamilton during its New York run at the Public Theater over ten years ago, I was blown away by Leslie Odom, Jr.’s electric performance as Aaron Burr against Lin-Manuel’s unforgettably charismatic Alexander Hamilton. So I am absolutely delighted that London will now be able to share the experience of Leslie for a short season, joining the brilliant new cast we have in performing this revolutionary musical at the Victoria Palace Theatre.”
Priority booking for Leslie’s limited time will be available to those who sign up via the program’s website before 12:00pm on Wednesday 11 March 2026. Priority booking opens at 11:00am on Thursday, 12th March, with general bookings opening at 11:00am on Friday, 13th March. Further casting for the company from June 15, 2026 will be announced shortly.
