Nick Jonas releases new album ‘Sunday Best’ and video for ‘Gut Punch’

Nick Jonas has presented his brand new album fine clothes, marks his first solo project in nearly five years.

The 11-track album is Nick’s most honest and introspective work to date. Inspired by his musical roots and early years singing in church choirs, Fine clothes is rich in musical influences from Nick’s childhood and adult life, with the artist wearing his heart on his sleeve to create an emotionally resonant work.

In a message to fans of the album, Nick said: “This album is a bit of a sonic departure from my previous solo albums, and I wanted to say ‘thank you’ to everyone who has been on this journey with me and allowed me to explore different genres and styles over the years. I’m so proud of this body of work and my hope is that these songs find a special place in my life.”

Nick has also released the music video for the single “Gut Punch”. Directed by Anthony Mandler, the visual sees Nick explore his complex relationship with his insecurities through his ‘inner critic’ – Jick Nonas. As Nick tries to go about his day-to-day life, Jick Nonas is right beside the times, telling him horrible and untrue things about himself. Things come to a head during a therapy session, where Nick accepts that he needs to be kinder to himself.
