Maisie Peters Announces New Album ‘Florescence’

Singer-songwriter Maisie Peters has delighted fans with news of her upcoming album Florescenceout 15 May.

The 15-track record has been two years in the making, written across Nashville, London and Suffolk, and recorded entirely in Nashville with Ian Fitchuk and Konrad Snyder. It is also Maisie’s first album to feature collaborations, having worked with Marcus Mumford and Julia Michaels, two of her musician and songwriting heroes.

Speaking about the album on Instagram, Maisie said: “Florescence means ‘the process of blooming/ developing richly and fully’ and for me this album describes exactly that. these fifteen songs depict a blossoming, a journey into true love that spans years, across countries and stages and stars, and brings us into the present, 25 years old and ready to share with you this next offering, held out like a peach in my hand.

“this album for me centers hope as a force of strength; I hope it feels like the sun streaming in through your window after a winter that felt forever. There is sadness in the music, but also a knowledge that you have to live through rain and storms to grow, change, heal and thrive. This is my story of the last few years, my life woven into these songs that you will love in hope as much as I do.”
