Hadestown announces new West End cast

Hit West End Musical Hadestown has announced the new cast that will be heading underground from March 10th.

Two pop culture icons will join the cast, with Rachel Adedeji and Clive Rowe as Persephone and Hermes respectively. Both have had illustrious theater and TV careers but long-time fans will recognize Rachel from series six onwards The Factor (and narrator Peter Dickson’s iconic pronunciation of her name) and Clive as the legendary Duke of Tracy Baker.

They will play alongside Bethany Antonia (Peter Pan: The Never Ending Story World Tour) as Eurydice, Marley Fenton (Hamilton) as Orpheus and Alistair Parker (The crucible) as Hades. The cast also includes Spike Maxwell, Melanie Bright and Lauran Rae as the Fates, and Gabriela Benedetti Femi Akinfolarin, Michelle Andrews, Ollie Bingham and Sebastian Lim-Seet as Workers. The cast is rounded out by Juan Jackson, Oisín Nolan-Power, Lindo Shinda, Jasmine Triadi and Milly Willows as swings.

Currently playing at The Lyric Theatre, Hadestown retells the legendary myths of Orpheus and Eurydice and of Hades and Persephone, intertwining two ancient Greek mythical love stories. It features music, lyrics and book by Anaïs Mitchell, with direction by Rachel Chavkin.

The musical is the winner of 8 Tony Awards including Best Musical and Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album. It has been watched by five million, streamed by half a billion and loved by fans around the world.

Hadestown has also been extended and is now booking until December 13, 2026.
