Further casting announced for Waitress the Musical UK tour

It’s almost time to be Opening up! Further casting has been announced for the upcoming UK tour Waitress the musical.

As previously revealed, theater royalty Carrie Hope Fletcher will lead the production as Jenna in select locations. Today it has been confirmed that she will be joined by Evelyn Hoskins and Sandra Marvin, who will both reprise their roles as Dawn and Becky respectively. Evelyn and Sandra have previously performed their roles in both the West End productions and the 2022 UK tour.

TV legend Les Dennis will also play Joe. Perhaps best known for presenting Family fortunes from 1987 to 2002, Les also has a rich history in theatre. Over the years, he has participated in Chicago, Hairspray, Legally Blonde the Musical, as well as The Addams Family along with Carrie.

With hits like “She Used to Be Mine” and “It Only Takes a Taste”, Waitress the musical tells the story of Jenna, a waitress and expert pie maker with dreams of some happiness in her life. When a new doctor comes to town, things get more than a little complicated! But with the support of her co-workers Becky and Dawn, Jenna overcomes the challenges and finds that laughter, love and friendship can provide the perfect recipe for happiness.

The musical was created by an all-female creative team including a score by Grammy Award-winner Sara Bareilles, a book by acclaimed screenwriter Jessie Nelson and direction by Tony® Award winner Diane Paulus.

The Waitress the musical The UK tour kicks off in Wimbledon on March 28 with further stops including Brighton, Bradford, Woking, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Eastbourne, Glasgow and Salford. Click here for more ticket information.

Carrie will perform at Wimbledon, Brighton, Bradford, Woking, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Dublin, Manchester and Cardiff. Casting for additional locations will be announced.
