Pedro Santo drifts further into self-reflection on new single "I Don't Know Me"

Pedro Santo continues to showcase his range as a solo artist at “I don’t know myself”a stripped-down and introspective release that sees him further solidify his artistic identity. Co-written by the singer, along with Jack Dean Britten, Renee Miller and Mike Needlethe current track marks another step in Santo’s evolving solo chapter, placing emotional honesty front and center as he continues to forge a path on his own terms.

Focusing on themes such as identity, belonging and resilience, “I don’t know myself” developed with a clear sense of purpose. Its rich, full and anthemic production gives Santos’ powerful vocals room to soar, carrying the emotional weight of the song’s introspective core with ease. Instead of pushing towards catharsis, the track is in ambiguity and captures the unwavering devotion that people often invest in the things they love.

Commenting on the single, Pedro says: ““I don’t know myself” is probably the most vulnerable thing I’ve been part of. I wrote the song about my relationship with music but social media has given it a life of its own and people relate to it in so many different ways. From dealing with loved ones, pets and family members to even applying for their own religion. I can’t express how happy I am that this is happening – it’s everything I’ve ever wanted my music to be for others. I always find that when I’m in a session writing about a specific scenario, the song always takes off in a different direction and starts to make sense to others in a completely different light than I had intended.”

After a year of high-profile support positions – above all opening for Cian Ducrot and Only the poets – Pedro will embark on his first ever headline tour in February, visiting cities across the UK and Europe.

The 11-date run includes a London date at The Garage on February 10, while shows in Amsterdam and Cologne have already sold out. A handful of tickets for the remaining dates are still available here.
