A teaser trailer for what’s to come Toy Story 5 movie has been released and it looks like Woody, Buzz and the gang will have to face a brand new tech villain.
The 50-second clip asks the question “is the age of toys over?”, as we see Bonnie receive a mysterious package in the mail. All our favorite characters cower in fear as Bonnie prepares to open the package, including Rex, Slinky, Mr and Mrs Potato Head, Forky and Jessie.
The new danger to the group is then revealed to be the Lilypad, a frog-shaped, high-tech smart tablet. There could be trouble ahead as the gang’s job becomes exponentially more difficult when they have to go head to head with the brand new threat to game time.

Tom Hanks returns as everyone’s favorite cowboy Woody, with Tim Allen and Joan Cusack reporting for duty as Buzz Lightyear and Jessie respectively. Greta Lee joins the cast as the mysterious Lilypad, while Conan O’Brien will also join the voice cast as the toilet training tech toy, Smarty Pants.
Toy Story 5 is directed by Academy Award® winner Andrew Stanton, directed by Kenna Harris and produced by Lindsey Collins.

Having the remarkably talented Greta Lee bring Lilypad to life – balancing a heartfelt to a playful and playful has been fun.”
Toy Story 5 will be released on June 19, 2026.
