The unthinkable curves for a massive guitar begin to take shape over the strip, as progress on the largest construction project of the place corridor continues.
The 660 feet large guitar hotel Las Vegas is expected to be completed during the second half of 2027, together with the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, according to the company’s managers.
The multi-year project converts the site of the former Mirage Hotel casino, which was closed in July 2024. The guitar hotel is built where Mirage’s famous free volcano show broke out every night for decades. The Tri-Tower building, which was Mirage, undergoes a total rebuild and renovation and will open again as Hard Rock Las Vegas.
The finished complex will contain almost 3,600 hotel rooms, about 175,000 square meters of play space, two spa, several pools, live entertainment places and dozens of restaurants, lounges and shops.
Construction began less than 24 hours after Mirage was suspended. Hard Rock Las Vegas President Joe Lupo told Review Journal in July that the MegareSort project was on budget and according to schedule, with an expected opening in the “early fourth quarter of 2027.”
