Miel de Botton shares a deeply personal tribute to his father with the release of My dear little fatherRetrieved from her cordial new EP Wear: Volume 1.
Switzerland-born and London-based singer writer Miel de Botton has revealed My dear little father – A fantastic new track that honors the memory of his late father, the influential financier and music lover Gilbert de Botton. The Sung is completely in French, the song is a delicious nod to the Chanon traditions he loved – Think Piaf, Aznavour – delivered with warmth, elegance and the unthinkable Miel magic.
The track is lifted from Wear: Volume 1The first in a three -part collection to see Miel pouring her heart in a brilliant celebration of family, friendship and inheritance. The video, directed by Danny and Sam Clifford, gives the tribute life with wonderful images and real emotional weight – capture what Miel calls “One of the most moving creative experiences in my life.”
But Loved is far from one note. Throughout the EP, Miel shows her fearless musical curiosity: slip from classic chance to disco joyides, surrounding speaking words, lovestruck piano rollers and even Ibiza-inspired dance flobs. It is a kaleidoscope of genres, seaming together by Miel’s rising voice and the sense of signature of soul.
The inspiration goes deep – and personal. Among the loved ones who are celebrated over the trilogy: her childhood child girl (a 95-year-old legend), her beauty therapist (a survivor of domestic abuse) and her brother Alain de Botton, who famous Miel challenged a song inspired by Genesis, with Latin Chanting and Michael Jackson Flair. Of course she did.
Fans were first reintroduced to this sonic universe via SchlagerA happy, glittering disco bop that has already noted millions of views. The track video acts as a celebration of the people who inspired Loved Project-a heart-on-sleeve that radiates pure joy.
Miel’s journey to music is equally inspiring. After a career in law and clinical psychology – and raised two children – she followed her heart into the world of songwriting and behavior. Her debut album Magnetic arrived in 2015, followed by Emit oneself to the feeling In 2019. Since then, she has performed everywhere from Camp Bestival to Crazy Coqs, supported icons that simply red and wet wet and even lead to Paris’ Accor Arena in November to simply support red once more.
And when she’s not on stage? Miel continues to channel her energy for philanthropic work – supporting peace, society, art and the environment. Her track I got nature Was selected by the World Wildlife Fund for its global “Connect to Earth” campaign – just one example of her music that meets her assignment.
Loved: Volume 1 is out now, with volumes 2 and 3 arrive in November 2025 and February 2026. You can keep up with all Miel’s news and new editions here!
