Tyla releases genre-defending EP ‘WWP’ (We Wanna Party) with Wizkid

South African Pop Trailblazer Silent is to keep warm turning all the way up this summer with its brand new EP, “WWP (We Wanna Party)”—A punchy Four-Track release who sees her continue to blur sonic boundaries and order global attention.

The EP, now on all major platforms, arrives as a follow -up of her chart -dominant self -titled debut earlier this year, and it is anything but fillers. WWP, which leans to a bold fusion of Amapiano, Afro-pop, dancehall and reggae, confirms Tyla’s genre-defending ambition-aesthetics that quickly become her signature style.

Among the new offers, the “Dynamite”-the long-ranked collaboration with Nigerian superstar Wizkid-Find as prominent. A hypnotic mixture of smooth, relaxed afrobeat tracks and Tylas sensual, spring light song, the sultry track oceans of summer heat and energy in the evening. It is the type of song that not only plays in the background – it remains, smelling long after the party is over. The song, year during creation, had put in her vault until she decided at a new London listening session: “Let’s end it because I want to release it.” And she did exactly It – drawn it straight into the heart of her most infectious project yet.

Also on the EP there are two previously released singles: “Bliss”, which gained momentum after its use in Coca -Cola’s “Road Trip” campaign and debut at Coachella, and “is it”, a mood track that continues to showcase her range. The last track, “Mr. Media”, sees Tyla clap back on her critics with controlled fire, which further proves that under her essential sound lies a steel artistic vision.

Since “Water”, which got her a Grammy for best African music performance, Tyla has quickly become one of Africa’s most globally visible young stars. She recently broke a record as the highest mapping African female soloist at both Billboard 200 and Hot 100, and has not stopped since.

And while “WWP” clocks on to just four songs, it is invoiced as the first part of a larger mixing project -a teaser of what will come for the self -designed “fabric” movement. Whether they, through high watt collaborations, festival stages or top-top singles, Tyla’s rise is undeniable and WWP proves that she is not just riding on the scales. She is Libra.
