After several years on the British gigs circuit and a slow build rise through mouth-to-mouth surgery, K Deliver a second album that is both punchy and personal.
Out now via Lab postsThe ‘Pretty on the internet’ Is a tightly wounded indie rock record laced with sharp hooks, quarry rate and lyrical introspection. Produced by Jim Lowe (Stereophonics, Taylor Swift)The Punch 12-Track collection successfully polishes its sound without grinding away its northern barley.

Album opener ‘Before I hit the floor’ Starts procedures like a shot of adrenaline directly to the intestine – distorted guitar coils, urgent drums and Jamie Boyle’s Breathing -free confessions of resolution under pressure. It is ruthless, catartically and sets the perfect tone for an LP built around identity, anxiety and the paralyzing expectations of life online.
But that is ‘Distribution in my bedroom’ It reveals the band’s true form: Pop-smart melodies that mask self-examination, cheeky verse deliveries that collide with hooks swelling in shared confessions- “A few times a week I go crazy” – Light and explosive while treading the shadows below the surface.
Then there are ‘Rat poison’One of the album’s harder standouts. With pace for reserve and skating-tented swing in the guitars, it is a buzzing grip on a hazy, limal late evening-full of regret, frenetic energy and the harsh clarity after the party. Think punked-up story with a wink!

‘The Bends (here we go again)’ Proves Frontman Boyle’s songwriting maturity: When he reveals the trauma associated with an unclear health condition that beat the latter part of the teens. Driven by a super -melodic hook and scrubbing, emotional lyrics, it is indie swagger that is worn with emotional scars.
The tenderness surfaces in ‘Helen, oh I’A stringed ballad in layers in reflection. The band extends into cinematic full-hocked vulnerability here and allows orchestration to frame the emotional weight-a smart left turn from their usual punches.
Closer ‘Perfect ghost’ Quarter long after the last echo: Keys and strings float behind Boyle’s soft song as he sadly addresses the remaining ghosts of connection and regret. It is quiet, haunted – and devastating in its simplicity as a song about loving someone even in the absence.

‘Pretty on the internet’ Highlights a bold step forward: K’s balance antemic indie style with introspective anxiety and self-screw. It is a tight walk between performance and authenticity, trust and implosion.
This is indie-rock built for stadions, but seasoned with enough emotional shade to survive a reflection in your own bedroom. If “I wonder if the world knows?” introduced you for their barley, ‘Pretty on the internet’ is the one who makes you feel it.
