A local developer wants to break the ground next year on a new apartment complex next to a Las Vegas casino.
Las Vegas City Council approved Wednesday Fore Property Co.’s plans for an apartment project of 293 units next to Arizona Charlie’s Decatur. The rental complex, on Decatur Boulevard just north of Charleston Boulevard, also requires approximately 8,400 square meters of commercial space.
The 8 acre project site is an Arizona Charlie’s parking lot and is owned by Hotel-Casino’s operator, Golden Entertainment.
Fore Property Managing Partner Jonathan Fore told Las Vegas Review Journal after the vote that he hopes to break the ground during the first quarter of 2026.
He noted that the project site is close to major roads and the US highway 95 and is a comfortable place for people working in the center or on the Las Vegas strip.
Tenants who work at Arizona Charlie or want to eat or play on the location -focused property can easily go there.
Over the past decade or so, apartment developers in southern Nevada have focused strongly on building projects in Las Vegas Valley’s Suburban Outer Rings. But they have also posted projects in more centrally located areas in the valley – including in the art district and near the strip – and Fore’s recently approved complex would not be the only new rental property in that pocket in Las Vegas.
A group of developers collaborated to build the top at Meadows, a 334-unit exclusive apartment project next to Meadow’s template which was opened in 2023.
The complex, which has a roof salon, leeway, yoga studio and other amenities, is about a mile from Fore’s project site.
