Kesha launches SMASH: A Creator-first music platform

In a feature aimed at redistributing creative power in the music industry, multi-platinum pop dealer Kesha has launched SMASH, a new collaboration platform designed to put autonomy and ownership back in the hands of music creators. Built to serve producers, singers, songwriters and engineers promise Smash a safe, supportive ecosystem where artists can connect, collaborate and –crucial—Retain’s rights to the work they create, without any contracts with invisible fine style and portra of cracks.

“My goal is to move the power structure for music -creating business in favor of the creators,” Kesha said in a statement. “I signed a predator when I was 18 and then spent more than a decade to regain rights to my voice and picture. When I finally got my freedom, I realized that the fight was not over. I want to make sure what happened to me never happens to anyone else again.”

The platform, now lives on Smashmusic.ioFounded by Kesha along with technical veteran CTO Alan Cannistraro (formerly Apple and Engineer) and Coo Lagan Sebert. The trio, together with a team of the top music industry and technical veterans, gather decades of combined experience from both the entertainment and technology world, with the aim of reusing the street-heavy structure for the music industry.

Smash is not just another network app; It has integrated contracting, a distant collaborative studio and a talent market. “Smash is where some music creator can find their musical tribe and create their own … Smash,” says the platform.

To celebrate the launch, the team kicks off things with a remix challenge for Kesha’s newest and “Unapologetically sexy” party -hymne, “Boy Crazy”. The tribes for the song will be made exclusively to creators who register for the SMASH -E mail list. The best remix, which is elected personally by Kesha, will see an official edition later this summer via Kesha Records.

The release of Smash coincides with a big summer ahead for Kesha, who will release its long -awaited new album, simply with the title “. (Period)”, July 4 – Suitable Independence Day. She will support the record with her biggest tour so far: The titsProduced by Live Nation and presented by Feeld. The North American driving starts July 1 in Utah and includes stops in large places such as LA’s Kia Forum and NYC’s Madison Square Garden.

Cannistraro, who played a key role in building Apple’s original app-ecosystems and later Facebook’s mobile first features, provides deep experience in product architecture. His background as a musician and DJ gives personal resonance to his new role. Sebert, a long -lasting content strategist and community Builder, has previously worked with brands such as Google, Apple and Meta and founded the award -winning Global Production Network, Hometeam.

Although it is still in its early days, SMASH is clearly focused on redefining how music is done and who controls it-a increasingly urgent issue in streaming, AI tools and Hyper-digital collaboration.
