A megare resort on the strip again makes changes within its leadership and moves two of its peak, which were recently named managers to new roles.

Alex Dixon, who was appointed CEO of Resorts World Las Vegas in January, will become a senior adviser for the company’s board, the casino hotel announced on Thursday. Carlos Castro, employed as the property’s CEO and CFO in February, will assume the roles as president and CFO in the future.

According to the announcement, Castro will “lead the organization by continuing to attract top talents and initial resorts world to the next step of its growth.” In his new role, Dixon will “run business projects, build new strategic partnerships and work to develop synergies of Resorts the world’s properties”, reads a post on casino’s social media account.

“Resorts World Las Vegas Leadership knows that our best days are around the corner, and this is the next phase in our development,” ended LinkedIn Post.

On Wednesday, Castro Nevada Gaming Control Board addressed when Resorts World Las Vegas parent company, Genting Berhad, had a waiting question before the supervisory authorities. Castro told the Board that $ 4.3 billion resort, recently evaluated a fine of $ 10.5 million, the second largest in Nevada history, to allow illegal bookmakers to play on the property, was in “recovery mode.”

Resorts World Las Vegas “has taken a hit over the past three quarters,” Castro told GCB and noted in particular that casino’s slot operations have declined. A new Senior Vice President of Slot Operations is scheduled to start in June, the property’s new president told the supervisory authorities.

“We see recovery of 12 to 18 months when that company increases and we become more diligent in our marketing and sales efforts,” he said. “We are comfortable and sure that business will return.”

Resorts World Las Vegas also announced the employment of a new senior vice president for food and drink and hospitality development on Thursday. Josef Wagner, who last led up the Food and Drink program at Bellagio, Park MGM and Nomad Hotel for MGM Resorts International, has over two decades of industry experience.

“For 26 years I have worked as a restaurant manager for iconic properties over Las Vegas and am proud to start on this journey,” Wagner said in a news message. “This is an exciting new chapter with endless opportunities to use the property as one of the best on the strip, and I look forward to growing its hospitality offering even more, building on the foundation and want to introduce new concepts and approaches that will take our property to the next level.”
