Three managers with strip connections won unanimous recommendations for licensing from Nevada Gaming Control Board on Wednesday.

Paige Farwell Fertitta, ex-wife from Fertitta Entertainment Inc. Chairman and CEO of Fertitta; Maurice Wood, president of Bowtie Hospitality LV LLC, the parent company of Fontainebleau Las Vegas; And Daniel Ruiz, Chief Gaming Officer for Venetian won favorable recommendations from the board of the three members.

The Nevada Gaming Commission will consider the final approval of the license requests on May 22.

Paige Fertitta is looking for licensing as director and president of Fertitta Entertainment, who in 2022 was approved by Clark County officials to develop a 43-storey, 2,420 rooms on 6.2 acres at the southeastern corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Harmon Avenue.

Her ex -man, who is also the best shareholder in Wynn Resorts Ltd. And managers Landrys, who run the Golden Nugget Properties, accepted an appointment as ambassador to Italy and San Marino from President Donald Trump in March. The appointment demanded that he go back from his casino and restaurant empire based in Houston.

Paige Fertitta told the supervisory authorities that she will not handle any daily monitoring of the Las Vegas business.

Wood, the former president of Wynn Las Vegas, is a long-lasting game leader who came up through food and beverage positions in central Las Vegas’ Golden Nugget.

Wood explained to the supervisory authorities how Fontainebleau tries to build a following through a more robust entertainment product.

After leaving Wynn, wood also worked cards with Tilman Fertitta.

Ruiz, a former Caesars manager, was hired at Venetian after being recruited by its owner, Apollo Management Group.

Wood and Ruiz are looking for key development licenses.

Board members also recommended unanimous approval of suitability and licensing to a German company and several of its officers acquiring Las Vegas-based gaming art, a privately owned gaming technology provider of slot machines, bingo, Keno and interactive casino campaigns.

Merkur.com AG and Gauselmann Familienstickung won unanimous approval from the Board after a 90-minute hearing.

Merkur Gaming indicated that it would continue to hire gaming art workers when it takes over the company in the summer.

Gaming art CEO Mike Dreitzer will leave the company to take over as chairman of the Gaming Control Board on June 23 when the current chairman Kirk Hendrick leaves. Governor Joe Lombardo appointed Dreitzer to the Board last month after Hendrick announced his departure in January after the end of the Nevada legislator’s 2025 session.
