5 must-watch metal films for heavy metal fans

Heavy metal is not For everyone – it’s not like pop, rock and R&B that are widely accepted and loved by most. But for those who get it, metal music is not just about the high, incredible sound that most people hear. We have a deeper understanding of what metal songs are about, and that is what makes it special. And if you are one of these fans, you will be happy to know that this genre is not just living in music – there is also a home in some amazing movies that I am happy to share with you.

In this blog post I will share my favorite metal movies that I think Metalheads that I will really enjoy. Most of these movies are available on Select Streaming servicesSo you don’t have a hard time looking for them. Let’s start!

This is Spinal Tap (1984)

Okay, let’s start with the classic metal film that almost every metalhead already knows. This is Spinal Tap is a mockumentary about a fictional heavy metal band called Spinal Tap. It is a typical false documentary about the band’s up-and-down, tour drama and career issues in general. For me, humor was in place and well executed. It is literally a love letter to the genre that does not take itself too seriously. If you haven’t seen it yet, trust me – it’s a great way to laugh at the chaos that we all secretly like.

Trick or Treat (1986)

If you are a horror enjoyer you will love trick or treat. This movie is about Eddie, a high school that is obsessed with a rock star called Sammi Curr. When Sammi dies, Eddie gets her hands on an unreleased disc that – here is the kickman – can take Sammi back from the dead through the power of backward messages. There are also lots of Komos from Gene Simmons and Ozzy Osbourne and a soundtrack with large heavy tracks. If you are planning to include this movie in your next TV streaming Session, I have nothing more to say but you are on the right track.

Metal Lords (2022)

If you are looking for a newer metal film, you will enjoy metal lords. This is a comedy drama in the coming age of two high schools, Hunter and Kevin, who are dead at starting a metal band called Skullfucker. Throughout the movie, they meet school and social pressure while looking for the best bassist to complete their band. It also has a killer -soundtrack with original songs produced by heavyweight as Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine. If you are in Metal’s DIYTOS and the idea of attaching it to the man, this is a fantastic watch.

Airheads (1994)

Airheads is a fun movie about three guys in a rock band. Chazz, PIP and Rex want a radio station to play their song and simply want their band’s demo bands to be marked so that they take over the station with fake weapons. I think the actors are what made this exceptionally beautiful apart from the story. Adam Sandler, Brendan phrases and even metal stars like Lemmy. You can look at this on multiple streaming services better with Fixed internalT because it is a relatively old movie.

Heavy trip (2018)

Heavy Trip is a comedy musical film about a shy guy named Turo and his metal band, impalled rectum, from a small Finnish city. Okay, just writing their band name makes me laugh out loud. Okay, so this band has been practicing for several years but never played a show. When a large metal festival in Norway gives them a chance, they take it by stealing a van, a corpse (yep, a corpse) and a drummer. It’s an amazing watch!

The bottom line

If you want to hear metal music in another scene, these movies are the way to go. Whatever genre you like, you can find something to suit your preferences. Think of these movies and if you ever watch them let us know if you loved them. I’m pretty sure you are coming! Glad to watch!
